The phenotypes you enter into the calculator are used to work out your result and then discarded. The site also uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which set cookies and collect information about your visit. This policy explains what is collected, why, for how long, and your rights.

Phenotypes you enter are sent to the server, used to calculate your result, and then discarded. They are not written to a database or to the server logs. The server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, time and browser details) for 90 days for security; these do not contain the phenotypes you enter.
A phenotype on its own does not identify you, and it is never stored alongside your IP address or any other identifier.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie will stop the calculator and contact forms from working.
Google Analytics records how visitors use the site: pages viewed, time spent, device and browser type, and approximate location. The data is pseudonymous: it is linked to a cookie identifier rather than your name, but it is not anonymous. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense displays advertisements on the site. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads, which may be based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ad Settings.
Google decides how long it keeps this data and how it uses it for its own purposes. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Google processes analytics and advertising data, and stores contact-form emails in Gmail, on servers that may be outside the UK, including in the United States. Google relies on recognised safeguards for these transfers, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, as described in its privacy policy.
Results from the calculator are for education and information only. They are not medical advice or a diagnosis.
The site is not aimed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent personal data through the contact form, please get in touch and it will be deleted.
